Start With Why
So everybody’s read the book or certainly knows about the book “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek.
I get it. It’s a good book. It makes total sense.
But the problem I have with it is there are a number of ways.
You might want to make a massive global impact, that might be a
“why”. You might want to impact your community or improve their health and well-being that might be another “why”, but you also might well want to buy a nice car, a nice house. You might want to send your children to private school or whatever.
It may be. That’s another “why”?
So which one is the biggest of all of those why’s? That’s the why that you need to anchor and harness and that is what is referred to as your strongest reason why.
If you’ve got debts to pay, if you need to get out of a hole if you’re incredibly focused on getting that nice car or nice house, if you’re incredibly focused on getting your children to private school.
That’s a bigger why right now for you than changing the world or impacting the community.
Unfortunately, the reality is YOU are the most important person in your life, not your community, not the people around you. You’re the most important person.
So what is your strongest reason why?
Find that and then you’ll overcome procrastination, then you’ll get stuff done!
