VLOG 245 | CEO’s peak after 5.7 years
🔵Who do you go to for advice❓
There’s a study that’s been released that shows that CEOs Peak after 5.7 years.
The reason they do that is because when they’re on the way up, they seek advice from all different sources, a broad variety of sources and they make good decisions off the back of a mixture of diverse sources of advice.
When they get to the CEO role, they have their lieutenants inside the company that they go to for advice and therefore that advice becomes cyclical that becomes almost incestual a little bit.
They know the advice, they know what they’re going to get and then they peak and start to decline after 5.7 years because the diversity of that advice is not there. That’s when non-executive directors come in.
So for you, who do you go to for your advice❓
Is it actually the same advice or are you getting richness in the advice❓
You want rich, broad, diverse people that can give you advice in order to make those big decisions❗️🔵
